*This guide does not apply to the staff of DPS schools
Overview
As a DSST employee, you have access to many systems that are managed by APS. This guide provides APS staff with step-by-step instructions for accessing key district systems, including Infinite Campus, Gmail, and Performance Matters. It also outlines the process for setting up APS Multifactor Authentication (MFA) to ensure secure access to these resources.
Follow the steps and supports below to access APS Systems
- Infinite Campus
- APS Gmail
- Performance Matters
- Access APS Clever to Start the MFA Process
- Setting up MFA using Duo
- Manual Duo Set Up
Infinite Campus
Infinite Campus, commonly called IC, is the Student Information System used for DSST Schools. Schools within APS have their IC managed by APS. Use these steps to log in to IC.
- Go to https://sis.aps.k12.co.us/campus/aurora.jsp
- Enter your APS login: Use the first letter of your first name followed by your full last name (e.g., for Ashley Brand, the username would be abrand).
- Enter your password. If this is your first time logging in, the default password is "Campus123".
APS Gmail
Staff who teach or work within a school that is part of APS have an APS Gmail account.
APS Gmail accounts use the following convention: username@aurorak12.org.
- Go to https://gmail.com/
- Enter your APS username and then add "@aurorak12.org"
- Enter your password. If this is your first time logging in, the default password is your APS Staff ID. You can find this in your Workday Profile under "Personal" and "IDs" if you don't know it. Please change your password after logging in.
- If that doesn't work, please submit a DSST Help Desk ticket so we can request a password reset.
If you receive an error when attempting to log in, you will likely need to have an APS Gmail account created for you. Please submit a DSST Help Desk ticket by emailing your request to helpdesk@scienceandtech.org so we can get this done for you.
Performance Matters
Performance Matters is the Learning Management System tracking all professional development for employees in Aurora Public Schools.
You will need an APS Gmail account to gain access to this system. It is imperative that staff are aware of their APS Gmail and log in before requesting a Performance Matters account. The address will receive emails once they log in and accept Google's Terms and Conditions. Without this step, staff cannot receive the activation email for their Performance Matters account.
Please use the information in the section above to log in and/or gain access to your APS Gmail account.
Once you have an active APS Gmail and you can log in, staff will need to do the following.
- Enter the information at this link: https://aurorak12.truenorthlogic.com/ia/empari/login/index
- Please click "Sign Up" under the User Name input.
- Enter information using your APS Gmail account as the primary email address and your APS ID number. You can find your APS ID number in your Workday Profile as shown below.
- Please know that any communication related to courses will default to the Aurorak12.org email.
Access APS Clever to Start the MFA Process

Setting up MFA using Duo
1. Click the "Log in with Google" button as shown below.
2. Your screen will display the screen below. Please click "Set up MFA now."
3. Note: How you'd like to set this up is ultimately up to you. However, we are making recommendations that utilize existing applications for multifactor authentication used in DSST. This will save you from needing to download or learn a new application.
Please select "Mobile app." then "Next Stop.".
4. Note: You will now be prompted to download the Google Authenticator App. However, we successfully used our Duo Mobile App for this process. As DSST already utilizes Duo, we recommend that you use Duo instead of downloading a new app. Please select what works best for your needs.
If you already downloaded the Duo Mobile app, please select "Next Step." Otherwise, please take a moment to download the app you'd like to use to your mobile device.
5. Please scan the QR code on your screen. Your Duo Mobile App should open automatically. You should see something like the image below. When you are ready, click "Save."
If Duo doesn't open automatically, click here.
5. You will now be redirected to the Clever Portal, where you'll see all the links for APS systems, including Infinite Campus. When you can log in, please add your name to the tabs here.
You can do so anytime if you need to update or change your MFA settings. To expand the menu, select your Profile in the top right-hand corner. Then click "MFA Settings."
