Overview
All scheduling team members must have the right to schedule in Infinite Campus. Login credential sharing should NEVER be allowed when scheduling. Not only can this cause errors in saving information and changes in IC, but it also puts our users and network at risk.
Lead Schedulers should complete both Secondary Scheduling and Walk-In Scheduling. Scheduling Support Team Members' access will vary depending on the tasks they must complete. If you are unsure which training to complete, please check in with your Lead Scheduler.
Follow the steps and supports below to get scheduling rights in DPS IC.
- Walk-In Scheduling Access (Pre- Requisite for Secondary Scheduling)
- Secondary Scheduling Access
- Recertification (For anyone who already has scheduling access)
Walk-In Scheduling Access
Walk-in Scheduling access allows users to work student by student on scheduling using the Walk-In Scheduler. Anyone who will be supporting the finalization of student schedules and scheduling special population groups should take this training.
An important note about walk in scheduling from DPS:
|
IC Walk-in Scheduling access is valid for two school years at a time to ensure all users are up-to-date with any changes to the Walk-in Scheduling process or to IC itself. That means that you will be required to complete a recertification quiz (or sometimes a full eLearning) every other year to keep your access. Failure to complete required recertifications in a timely manner will result in loss of access. In addition, any change in job role or location may impact your access as you will depart from and return to employment at DPS. If you previously had access to this area of IC, you must meet all posted access requirements to regain access. Review both "Did You Lose Your Access?" and "Access Requirements" above to find out how to reacquire your access. |
Step One
Click this link, and you will be redirected to sign in to a blue DPS credentials page.
You should use the same credentials you use with Infinite Campus. If you need help signing in, you can go here for information on resetting your password or getting your username.
Once you have entered your DPS credentials, you will be prompted to verify your identity using the "Duo" Identity Verification. This is a multi-verification application used only by DPS for security.
Step Two
You will now be at DPS's Infor Learning Management Center. This is where many DPS Trainings can be accessed. You should have automatically been directed to the scheduling certification course you selected. Be sure your course is titled "Infinite Campus - Secondary Scheduling 2024-25." Select "Register" as shown in the image below. Then select "Launch".
A new tab with a pop-up window will appear. If you have blocked pop-ups, please change your settings to allow pop-ups from this site.
Step Three
Your training will automatically begin in the pop-up window. Complete all the lessons and pass the quiz. Once you have finished you can download or take a screenshot of the certificate of completion. Please download this or take a screenshot and save it until your access is updated.
Step Four
Once you have completed training, there are two pathways to update your rights in IC. This depends on your job title.
- Admin, Office Clerks, Office Managers, or Operations Team members should automatically receive these rights within 48 hours of completing the certification course. If you do not receive your rights within that time frame,e please submit a DSST Help Desk ticket with your screenshot or certificate to helpdesk@sciencenandtech.org
- Teachers and other School Staff will not automatically receive scheduling rights. Please put in a DSST Help Desk ticket with your screenshot or certificate to helpdesk@scienceandtech.org
Secondary Scheduling Access
Secondary Scheduling access allows users to access and edit "Courses and Sections" and access all of the "Scheduling" tools in the Index. Anyone who will be creating sections, editing sections, batch rostering students, or updating sections should take this training.
