Overview
While most students will complete their coursework throughout the year and will not require any changes or amendments to their transcripts, there are some times when a change is needed. The only individual who can submit a grade change request for transcripts is the school's Transcript Owner.
If you have questions or concerns about how to submit these requests please contact the Senior Manager of Academic Program, Patrick Holden, for support before submitting any requests.
DSST's Transcript policy will include additional information and is a great reference tool. You can find that here
Common Circumstances for Grade Changes
It can be helpful to understand the most common circumstances for a grade change. Below you will find the most common scenarios for grade changes. You can find additional examples in the DSST Transcript Policy here.
A student fails the course for the semester and remediates the grade through in-school remediation the subsequent semester or in summer school.
- Students who successfully complete summer school will earn a “C” in their course. As grades will roll to transcript within 2 weeks following the close of the semester, any recovered credit will need to be submitted using the aforementioned process
- Note: Students who fail semester 1 coursework should complete remediation during semester 2 or in summer school if need be.
- Note: Given that there is typically a high volume of changes, it is recommended that you bundle the requests at the end of each month during the school year or immediately after summer school.
IMPORTANT: While DSST uses Edgenuity as a tool to recovery credit, we do not necessarily follow all of the requirements set by DPS. As such, when filling out the form for DPS, please indicate that students have “Student completed extra work/missed work”.

Step Two:
Next, you will need to email your requests to the DPS Course Code and Transcript team. Please send your transcript grade change requests and the link to the sheet to transcript_support@dpsk12.org.
