Overview
During the Spring, Lead Schedulers and other teams need a comprehensive list of incoming students with exceptionalities. Currently, the best option is to pull that information from the DPS Principal Portal. The Dashboards in the Principal Portal will include and be updated based on School Choice selections.
If you don't have access to the Principal Portal please submit a DSST Help Desk ticket by emailing helpdesk@scienceandtech.org so we can get that corrected.
Follow the steps and supports below to learn how to access this report.
Note: The Principal Portal can be a finicky system as it houses so much data. If a page sits too long it will need to be reloaded. If you have any issues throughout the process please close the tab and reload the report from the list of all reports.
Step One
Using your DPS credentials, NOT your DSST, you will log in here: https://portal.dpsk12.org/ . You will be asked to authenticate this login through the DPS Duo.
Step Two
After successfully logging in you will find yourself at the DPS Academic Portals page. Scroll down until you see the Principal Portal
Then select "Visit Portal"
Step Three
You will find yourself on the "Home" page of the Principal Portal. Please select "See All Reports". Then scroll down and select "Student List Report". You will be prompted to enter your DPS credentials again.
If your page does not reload to show the report please submit a DSST Help Desk request by emailing helpdesk@scienceandtech.org. We likely need to request access to the specific dashboard for your account.
Step Four
The first step is to click "View Dashboard" in the top right-hand corner of the screen. This will allow you to be able to use the drop-downs on the other side of the page as shown below.
Next, select the drop-down for reporting level and select "Project Students".
Then choose the school you want the information for next to "Select School". The last step is to select "Student Data to Show". If you are looking for general information please choose "Student Info".
When you've made all your selections click "View Report".
Step Five
The report will reload with the student data requested. To more easily see what information is needed please download the report in a CSV to filter. Select the arrow next to the download icon. Select "Excel" as shown below.
The report will be downloaded and you can select from your "Downloads" folder to open in Excel or upload to Google Sheets if you would prefer.
