Creating a "Listing" of an Existing Course in Cortex
Only Cortex Catalog Admins can make the course a "listing" in the catalog. If you need a course added to the Catalog, please contact Meg Goble.
1. Sign in to DSST's Cortex Catalog here: https://dsst.pdx.catalog.canvaslms.com/ When prompted, enter your DSST credentials to authenticate and access the platform. |
2. Click your name in the top right-hand corner once logged in. Then select "Admin."
3. You will now see the lists of courses for which you can create a listing. You need to have a pre-existing Course in Cortex to create a listing. If a course has multiple "Sections," you'll list each section individually so that users can enroll or be assigned to the sections.
Select the course you want to list in the catalog by checking the box on the left-hand side. Then select "Show Actions." In order for individuals to be able to enroll in the course you need to do two things. Select "List Publicly" and "Enrollable". The system will automatically save your settings.
| 4. Your course will now be listed in the DSST Course Catalog and users will be able to enroll in the course. |
