If you're having trouble accessing an app through Clever or missing access to a specific class, follow the steps below before contacting tech support. Many issues can be resolved quickly with a few simple checks.
Check If You're Assigned to the Class in Infinite Campus (IC)
If you don’t see a class in Clever, it’s usually because you're not officially assigned to it in IC.
Ask yourself:
Are you the primary teacher or a co-teacher for the class?
Has your scheduler or department admin added you to the section in IC?
They should confirm that:
You’re assigned to the correct course/section
Your name appears in the Section Staff History
A Start Date is listed next to your name
Once you're assigned correctly in IC, your class will appear in Clever after the next data sync (typically overnight).
Try App Troubleshooting
If your classes look correct but an app still isn’t loading or functioning properly, try the following:
Clear your browser's cache and cookies (choose "All Time")
Restart your browser or switch to a different one (e.g., Chrome ↔ Firefox)
Log out of Clever, then log back in
Note for Admins: Two Clever Accounts
If you’re an admin, you will have two Clever accounts, one as a teacher and one as staff.
This is important because your school admin access to certain apps (like Pear Assessment) is only available through your staff account.
If you're not seeing expected admin tools or access, double-check which Clever account you’re in:
Click your profile icon in Clever
Choose “Switch to Staff” (if you're currently in your Teacher account)
This does not apply to troubleshooting someone else’s account; it's just for admins to be aware of how their own access works.
When to Contact Tech Support
If you’ve tried the steps above and still can’t access your apps or see your classes:
Apps won’t load after clearing your cache and restarting
You’re assigned in IC, but the class still isn’t showing
(Admin) You’re sure you are using the correct Clever account
Please contact your campus tech with these details:
The app you're trying to access
The class or section that’s missing
Confirmation that you’ve checked your IC assignment
