Overview
Every year schedulers must build a new course list for their school. These courses must be taken from the course catalog. If you are adding courses for an upcoming school year you MUST make sure that you change your year at the top left-hand corner of your screen before adding any courses.
Follow the steps and supports below to pull courses from the course catalog to create your school's course list.
Adding Individual Courses
Step One
Locate the "Index" tab on the left-hand side of your IC. Expand the "Scheduling" menu and then select "Add Course". This will take you to the list of courses that are available in the course catalog.
Step Two
On the left, you will see the Course Catalog with the list of all courses available to add to your school's class list.
From this Course Catalog you can choose the specific Course Master that you want to add. Find the course you want to add from the list on the left and then click "Select this Course Master".
Step Three:
You will now see the course details: name, number, credits, etc. If this is the course you want to add to your campus course list, click "Save".
Step Four:
After clicking "Save" your screen should now refresh and you should notice "Course Master Linked" at the top right corner.
To verify that the selected course has been added to your campus course list refer back to the Index and find "Courses" in the drop-down menu. Click "Courses"
You should now find yourself in the "Search" tab with a list of courses below by either course number or name. You can use the search bar or scroll through the list to locate the course you just added. Once you have found the course you can be sure that this course is now ready to have sections created for your campus.
Batch Adding Courses
If you want to add multiple classes from the catalog to your course list at once you can do so by batch adding courses. This process is very similar to adding individual courses but you will select all the courses you want to add before clicking "Select this Course Master".
Step One
Locate the "Index" tab on the left-hand side of your IC. Expand the "Scheduling" menu and then select "Add Course". This will take you to the list of courses that are available in the course catalog.
Step Two
Using keyboard shortcuts you will select multiple courses. For example, hold "shift" to select an entire range of classes, as shown below. You can use the "ctrl" key to select specific individual courses to form a list.
When you've selected all the courses you want to add select "Batch Add these courses". A confirmation window will appear sharing the number of courses added to your school course list.
