Overview
Learning Ally is a web-based application that provides audiobook access to all DSST teachers and students. Learning Ally is designed to support students with disabilities or forms of dyslexia. This application provides a multi-sensory reading experience to struggling students providing the opportunity for access to a wide variety of books in an easy-to-absorb form. Learning Ally is paid for and licensed centrally by the Home Office.
Teachers and students will now log in to Learning Ally with Clever. There is no need for account creation for teachers or students. Clever uses information in Infinite Campus to automatically create the courses and rosters for teachers and students who qualify. If you need assistance with setting us access at your school please reach out to the Network Special Education Support Teacher.
Follow the steps and supports below to learn how to log in to Learning Ally as a teacher or a student.
Log in as a Teacher
Open a new tab in your browser and go to https://clever.com/in/dsst. From there you will the image below with options on how to log in. Click "Log in with Active Directory"

Once you have logged in scroll down until you see the "District Apps". As long as you are registered to courses within Infinite Campus you will see Learning Ally, as pictured below.

Click "Learning Ally Audiobook Solutions" and a new tab with open in your browser. The first time your login using Clever you will be asked to confirm your name, email, and role for your Learning Ally profile.

You will also be prompted to complete a "Needs Analysis" so that Learning Ally can better suggest resources based on your needs as an educator. You can also skip this by clicking "Skip Needs Analysis"

You will now see the Learning Ally Dashboard with your classes and students linked to your account.

Log in as a Student
Remember that not all students will have access to Learning Ally. This application is used for students who qualify. For more information on how to look and manage qualifying students to click here.
Have students a new tab in their browser and go to https://clever.com/in/dsst. From there they will see the image below with options on how to log in. Click "Log in with Active Directory"

Once students have logged in they should scroll down until they see the "District Apps". As long as they are registered to courses within Infinite Campus they will see Learning Ally, as pictured below.

Have them click "Learning Ally Audiobook Solutions" and a new tab with open in their browser. They will then see their Dashboard.

I have some new students with IEPs who are not showing up on the application. They were new as of Friday/ in our center program. How can we get them added on?

We are still working to get Learning Ally set up this year! We will share it with our SpEd teams when you will be able to access it!
