Purpose: The Workday roles & permissions request form allows staff to request for Workday access to be updated. Any requests not submitted by a School Director or HO leader will need to be approved by the School Director or HO team lead before they are completed.
To begin, log into Workday and click on the Requests application from your menu.
Step 1: Then in the top left-hand box called "Actions" click on the gray button called "Create Request"
Step 2: On the next screen ("Create Request" screen) in the drop down select "All" then the "Workday Roles & Permissions Request Form" then click “OK” at the bottom of the screen.
Step 3: On the next screen you will fill out the request form providing as much detail as possible about what access the person the request is for should have and, if applicable, anything you want to ensure they do not have access to.
Some common security roles are:
| Role | Description |
| Activity Pay Partner | The activity pay partner can view and request stipends and manage period activity pay |
| Front Office Manager | The front office manager role completes the I-9 form for new hires. This is a workday security role and will have no impact on the front office manager position for your site. |
| School Absence Coordinator | If your site routes all time off requests through one person they are given the role of school absence coordinator. The school absence coordinator receives all time off requests and approves time off requests for all staff except for the school director. They can also enter time off requests for staff. |
| School Absence Viewer | The school absence viewer can view all time off requests for the school. They do not receive time off requests and cannot approve, deny, or make any changes to time off requests. |
