Overview
Edulastic uses the term "Redirect" when referring to redoing, reassigning, or reopening an assessment. You may need to "Redirect" an assessment if
- Students were absent or didn’t finish the test during the initial testing window
- There are technical errors that have prevented a student from taking an assessment
- Students have inadvertently skipped questions on the assessment and you want them the opportunity to go back in and answer those
- Students rushed through an assessment without giving their best effort and you want them to retake
- You want to give students additional practice on the assessment. When you redirect, the prior responses are not deleted. If the students wish, they can change their responses or keep them as is. On the teachers’ side, the students’ cards will show the boxes as gray and appear as if it has not been taken yet. This is so you can get the live data on the retake and do not delete their previous work unless you choose to do so.
Teachers are able to redirect an assignment any number of times. Redirect remains available even after the due date has passed.
Follow the steps and supports below to learn how to "redirect" an assessment.
Step One
Select the “Assignments” tab in the dark gray navigation bar. Find the assessment in your list and click on the "Live Class Board".
Step Two
On the assessment "Live Class Board" you should see the "Redirect" button listed above student cards in the right-hand corner. Click "Redirect"
Step Three
A pop-up window will appear to choose the "Redirect" settings. You can choose "Entire Class", "Absent Students" or "Individuals Students". When selecting "Individual Students" you will need to add the specific students.
Finally, you can select the questions for redirect, and set the "Close Date" and time. You also have options for what you want students to see outlined below.
- Teacher Feedback Only – Students will see any feedback the teacher has provided on those questions.
- Student Score and Teacher feedback – Students will see whether or not they got a question right and any feedback the teacher has provided on those questions.
- • Student Response & Teacher Feedback – Students will see their previous responses and any feedback the teacher has provided on those questions.
- • Student Score, Response & Teacher Feedback – Students will see their previous responses if they got the answer correct or incorrect, and any feedback the teacher has provided on those questions
