Overview
There are a variety of pathways that can lead you to edit assessments in Edulastic. Some of the most common would be going back to finish assessment creation, collaborating with a team member on creating an assessment, or even when you've cloned an assessment and wish to make changes. Whatever the reason this article will help you to learn the tools and features for editing assessments in Edulastic.

Accessing the Assessment
Step One
Sign into Edulastic and you should see your Assignments Page or your Teacher Dashboard. In order to access the assessment you wish to edit, expand the menu on the left-hand side of the screen and select "Test" from the menu.
Step Two
You will be redirected to the Test Library. You will notice that there are most likely filters already set (these are based on your grade level, standards in your profile, etc.). If you are having trouble finding your assessment at any time select "CLEAR ALL" at the top of the filters menu.
There are a variety of pathways to access assessments that depend on assessment ownership.
- If you are trying to edit an assessment you created select "Created by Me".
- If you are trying to access an assessment that a colleague made and added you as an author select "I am an Author".
- If you are trying to edit an assessment that was shared with you via email or a link click "Shared with Me".
When you have located the assessment click the test image and a window will appear. Select "Edit" as shown in the image below.

Editing the Test Details
Step One
If you need to edit any of the test details such as test name, grade, tags, test image, etc. click the "Description" tab at the top of your screen. Here you will be able to make whatever changes you need to.

Step Two
If you have not published your test or you need to make other edits you will need to save your changes. Click the "Save" button as shown here.

If this is the only change you need to make to your assessment you will need to publish these changes as well. Select the "Publish" button as shown here

Editing Assessment Items/Questions
Step One
When you are in the assessment you need to edit be sure to click on the "Review" tab. This will show you all the items on the assessment.

Step Two
Click on the item you wish to edit and a Preview window will appear. In the top right-hand corner, you will see the "Edit" button. Click the "Edit" button as shown below.

Please note: If you added the item directly from the item bank you will most likely not be able to edit it. You will most likely have to create the item yourself if you wish to edit it.
Step Three
You will be redirected to the question editor. Here you can change the question, point value, answer choices, etc. When you have made all the necessary edits click "Save"

Reordering or Removing Items/Questions
Step One
You can reorder questions from an assessment during the assessment authoring or editing process. These changes should be made in the "Review" tab. When you have the assessment you wish to edit click "Review"
Step Two
If you want to reorder the questions on the assessment you can do so in two ways.
- The first is the drag and drop method. Simply grab the question that you want to reorder and drag it to the desired location

- The second method is to select the question, click Reorder Selected at the top, and then enter a new location.

Step Three
If you wish to remove questions select the question using the check box and click "Remove Selected" at the top of the screen.

Changing Point Values
If you wish to change a question's point value you can do so while authoring a new question, or editing a previously created question.
Step One
When you are in the assessment you need to edit be sure to click on the "Review" tab. This will show you all the items on the assessment.
Step Two
Click on the item you wish to edit and a Preview window will appear. In the top right-hand corner, you will see the "Edit" button. Click the "Edit" button as shown below.

Step Three
You will now see the question you selected in edit mode. Scroll down until you see the "Points" box. Here you can change the point value as needed. When you are finished click "Save".
