Overview
New employees receive accounts and systems access through a series of automated and manual action steps. This process relies on the completion of hiring and onboarding tasks.
Before systems access can be granted for any individual (regardless of role) all onboarding steps must be completed in Workday. If you have any outstanding tasks this will slow down the process, so please complete those as soon as possible.
The final step before any systems access can be granted is for users to be entered into the DPS and APS HR systems by the HR teams. These questions can only be answered by the HR team or HR partners so please connect for support as needed.
Please allow a minimum of 5-7 business days for teams to complete action steps AFTER you've completed all onboarding steps in Workday before reaching out for tech support.
Below you find the flow of how access is granted to the various systems and applications in DSST and how to determine if you have access or not.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find out if I can have an IC Account?
Your coach or leadership team can search your full name (last name, first name) in the IC search feature under "User" or "All People" to see if an IC account is available for you.
Otherwise, you can attempt to log in using the support below.
How do I find out if I have a DSST Clever Account?
You can try to log in to our DSST Clever using Active Directory. Find that support here!
If you receive an error along the lines of "that user does not exist" it means that our teams and systems are still working to get your Clever account. Please check back later to see if that is finished.
What do I do if I don't have access to a system?
It is important to note that certain job types do not automatically trigger an IC Account. For example, Teacher Assistants, Instructional Interns, Interns of any other kind, Contractors, Paraprofessionals, Tutors, Community Partners, specific charter roles not typically used by the district, Non-Instructional Employees, or any/all roles not relating to needing IC access at any point in time. For these roles to receive IC access, you will need to submit a DSST Help Desk ticket to helpdesk@scienceandtech.org
What do I do if I have waited the correct number of days and still do not have access to a system?
The number of days is important because access to some systems, like IC, are action steps completed by our district partners. No one at DSST can do this, make a process move faster, etc. Please wait the full 5-7 business days after completing onboarding. If that time has passed and you still do not have IC or another system please submit a DSST Help Desk ticket to helpdesk@scienceandtech.org
